I’m scared to turn on the TV. I find myself watching the news every moment… because I am shocked by the recent terror attacks in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Now, I know that no one has any great words of advice to give on this subject… But maybe I can share something that might help you see things a little differently.
One of the amazingly beautiful things I have learned living with Terminal Brain Cancer… Is that it wakes you up!
I live every day like it’s my last… because any day… it could be.
For most Americans, and civilized societies around the world, we now are living in times of “TERROR”.
But don’t let it stop you from living. Don’t let it stop you from travelling, going to concerts, going to Paris!
I just recently went on my Parisian honeymoon, a fantasy I’ve had my whole life. And it got cancelled many times, over the years, due to my damn Brain Tumor!
But the first night we were in Paris, We took a river cruise on the Seine, and as the sun was setting, we came around the bend, and there it was. The Eiffel Tower. It lit up just as we were sailing past… all covered in sparkly lights.
All the other tourists on the boat grabbed their cell phones. A group of Asian teenagers posted funny pictures of the monument with bunny ears on them!
But Greg and I just cried. We held each other, and whispered,”We made it.”
In that moment, a dream was realized. It was one of those moments that you’ll never forget for as long as you live.
In these times of terror, don’t let the fear stop you from living life to it’s fullest.
Live like me!
XOXO
